In the schoolbooks that are present in the stores it is difficult to give to all the students and to make the students eager to those books. In that time there is an American Peace Corps they are finding a books from the teachers they start the library.
In 1964 United States Information Service/USIS/ was agreed with minister of education and then there is American library in Addis that library is in the school ground floor room no 8 started modern library by the name Dire Dawa Reading Room.
Based on the agreement the library is giving a good service for the school including for the people of Dire Dawa peoples it is having Books newspaper and magazines also slide films tapes which are having educational words. This library is giving a good services for the school students also for the dire dawa people.
